宝马11月5日表示，将把东德工厂的每周工作时间从38小时削减至35小时，与西德工厂一样。德国劳工委员会对此举表示欢迎，认为此举在柏林墙倒塌30年后带来了期待已久的平等。

 BMW said on November 5 that it would cut the weekly working hours of its East German factory from 38 hours to 35 hours, the same as that of its West German factory. The German labour Commission welcomed the move, saying it had brought long-awaited equality 30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
