Lighter, faster, and arguably even more beautiful than the 570S on which it’s based, the McLaren 600LT will make its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It won't be the first time we’ve seen the stunning new supercar in the sheet metal, but the British marque has opted to show its newest model in two new colors instead of the standard drab grey finish we saw at launch.

 

The signature McLaren Orange carried over from the 570S, the 720S, and others before it, will be draped atop the new 600LT when it hits the track in Goodwood tomorrow, July 12th. The same carbon fiber accents will carry over too, from elements like the front fascia, to the side skirts, rear diffuser, and even the monocoque chassis. The latter carbon fiber feature, McLaren says, makes the vehicle a whole 25-percent lighter than the standard 570.

 

Of course, the 600LT will have the same power output we saw at launch. Underhood the 3.8-liter biturbo V8 produces a hearty 592 horsepower (441 kilowatts) and 457 pound-feet (620 Newton-meters) of torque. All that extra oomph over the standard 570 gives it the ability to sprint to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 3.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 204 miles per hour (328 kilometers per hour).
