一汽-大众旗下目前拥有大众与奥迪两大品牌，目前正准备推出第三品牌。明年，第三品牌将推出三款新车。根据此前的产品规划，这三款新车包括基于MQB-A1平台打造的A级与A+级SUV两款SUV以及一款基于PQ25L平台打造的三厢轿车。一汽-大众第三品牌定位低于大众品牌，主要面向年轻消费者群体。该品牌将由一汽-大众成都基地投产，年产能将达40万辆。其中A级SUV产能为10万辆/年，A+级SUV生产能力为20万辆/年，三厢轿车的产能为10万辆/年。新品牌的推出将冲击自主品牌所占据的低端市场。MQB-A1平台可有效降低开发成本，动力系统可灵活转换成新车所需。同时，MQB平台还可以灵活调节车身尺寸，推出的产品可进一步满足国内消费者的需求。基于MQB-A1平台的车型在整备质量和车身尺寸方面具有高度设计弹性，可灵活调整，因而可以进一步满足国内消费者需求。第三品牌A级SUV外观预计将与西雅特Ateca车型保持相似的设计风格，长宽高分别为4400×1841×1611毫米，轴距为2630毫米。新车动力搭载型号为EA211的1.4L涡轮增压发动机，最大功率为110千瓦，传动系统匹配手动或自动变速箱。第三品牌A+级SUV作为A级SUV的长轴距版车型，外观、动力预计将于其保持一致。新车轴距相比A级SUV车身长度增加200毫米，轴距增加100毫米。第三品牌三厢轿车外观将继承大众家族式造型风格，前脸、车身以及尾部整体都将与捷达十分相似。动力搭载代号为EA211的1.5L自然吸气和1.4L涡轮增压发动机，传动系统或匹配5速手动、6速手自一体以及7速DSG双离合变速箱。
FAW-VW’s new brand to launch 3 models in 2019
FAW-Volkswagen has already owned two major brands, the FAW-Volkswagen and FAW-VW Audi. Its third brand is currently ready to be launched. News comes from FAW-Volkswagen that its third brand will release three new models in 2019 which include a A-segment SUV model and a A+ segment SUV model, both of which are built on the MQB-A1 platform and a sedan model based on the PQ25L platform.
Positioned below the Volkswagen, the third brand is designed for the young consumers and will go into production in FAW-Volkswagen’s Chengdu base. The third brand’s annual production capacity is expected to be 400,000 units, in which, the annual production capacity of the A-segment SUV model, A+ segment SUV model and the sedan model are respectively 100,000 units, 200,000 units and 100,000 units.
The MQB-A1 platform can effectively reduce the development cost and can flexibly convert the powertrain according to the demands of the new models. Vehicles built on the MQB-A1 platform have greater superiorities in terms of the curb weight and dimension, which also can be flexibly adjusted, so as to further meet the demands of Chinese consumers.
The A-segment SUV model of the third brand is predicted to have a similar design style with the SEAT Ateca regarding the exterior look. It has a 4,400×1,841×1,611mm body dimension and a 2,630mm wheelbase. Also, the A-segment SUV model features a 1.4L EA211 turbocharged engine, which works in conjunction with the manual or automatic transmission, generating the maximum output of 110kW.
Compared with the A-segment SUV, the A+ segment SUV, as its long-wheelbase version, will have the same exterior look and powertrain, but is 100mm longer in the wheelbase and 200mm longer in the length of the vehicle body dimension.
The third brand’s sedan model will inherit Volkswagen’s family styling, with its frontend, vehicle body and tail being much similar with the Jetta. It is equipped with the EA211 1.5L NA and 1.4L turbocharged engine which pair with the 5-speed MT, 6-speed AMT and 7-speed DSG as options.
