2018 Honda Civic Type R gets slight price bump
Honda has announced a slightly higher price point for its 2018 Civic Type R sports car.
Honda announced on Thursday that the 2018 Civic Type R will roll into showrooms with an MSRP of $34,100. That's $200 more than the $33,900 Honda charged for the 2017 Civic Type R. Destination has also increased — from $875 to $890 — resulting in an out-the-door price of $34,990. As with the previous model year, the 2018 Civic Type R comes in a single spec without any available options.
That single spec is nicely equipped however, with standard features that include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, satellite navigation and a three-mode driving system. Like the 2017 model, the 2018 Civic Type R comes with a 2.0L turbocharged engine developing 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual is the only gearbox available.
The 2018 Civic Type R should start arriving in dealer showrooms sometime within the next few weeks.
