Subaru teases Ascent's third-row ahead of LA unveiling
Subaru has released a new teaser image previewing its upcoming Ascent three-row crossover. The Ascent is scheduled to make its world debut next week at the Los Angeles auto show.
The latest teaser gives us our best look best look yet at the Ascent, revealing the crossover's three-rows of seats and its general exterior styling. The model shown appears to be a higher-end model with saddle brown leather and second-row captain's chairs. It's likely that cloth and a second-row bench will be standard on entry-level versions of the Ascent.
On the styling front, the Ascent looks to share most of its cues with the Outback wagon. In fact, if you ignore the third-row, the Ascent in the teaser almost looks like an Outback with a higher roof line.
No word on what engines will be available in the Ascent, but either a turbo-four or boxer-six would make the most sense. Being a Subaru, it's assumed that the Ascent will come fitted with all-wheel drive as standard.
The 2018 Subaru Ascent is expected to go on sale shortly after greeting the public for the first time in LA. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
