马自达近日在东京车展发布了VisionCoupe概念车，该车在马自达先前发布的RX-Vision概念车基础上又向前迈进了一步，增加了两个后门，同时前脸更顺滑，整体设计更成熟，更优雅。马自达将这种设计命名为“新的优雅设计”。仔细看会发现该车具备了英系豪华车的元素和意大利超跑的范儿（行李箱设计类似英系豪华车，而车辆尾部和尾灯组则类似意大利跑车），而车鼻部分则是完全的马自达风格。车厢内采用了极简主义风格（这在概念车中是很常见的），突出了有机元素。仪表板和中控台采用实木和真皮装饰，只有档位选择器和仪表群。相对于 RX-Vision概念车，Vision Coupe最大的变化是增加了两个后门。马自达在发布该车趣图时将其称为“轿车”概念车，这不得不让人想到，该车是未来新一代马自达6的概念版车型，而非重新恢复的RX车系。

Tokyo: Mazda Vision Coupe
At the risk of upstaging itself, Mazda brought yet a second design concept to Tokyo. Meet the Mazda Vision Coupe.

The Vision Coupe takes the previous RX-Vision concept to the next logical step, adding two doors and smoothing out the face a bit for a more mature, elegant look.

Appropriately, Mazda has dubbed this generation of its design "new elegance." If you look closely, you can find elements of British luxury and Italian supercar staples (the former in the rear deck design; the latter in the rear finisher and tail lamps). The nose is all modern Mazda, of course.

Inside, it features a minimalist interior (as is common with concepts) with an emphasis on organic elements. The dash and center console are wood and leather, interrupted only briefly for elements such as the gear selector and gauge cluster.

Perhaps the most significant revision from the RX-Vision concept, however, is the extra doors. Mazda teased the Vision Coupe as a "sedan" concept despite the name, and we can't help but think that this is intended to steer us toward the idea of a new Mazda6 rather than any potential revival of the RX coupe lineup.
