Nissan Introduces New Longer Range e-NV200 With 40 kWh Battery
Nissan has now officially announced a 40 kWh version of the e-NV200 van, which will be rated at 280 km (174 miles) of NEDC range. In real-world (EPA-estimated) terms, that is almost 120 miles/193 km.
As with the new 2018 LEAF, the battery is the same size, although the density is much higher than the old 24 kWh, netting the 60% range increase.
The original e-NV200 (24 kWh) was NEDC rated at 170km/106 miles.
The new e-NV200 40 kWh will be available to order before the end of 2017 in Europe, where it’s solely produced.
As for coming to US, Nissan has (as of yet) no plans. Additionally, as we had felt likely earlier, Nissan has not announced any plans to offer the future 60 kWh battery that the 2019 LEAF will receive later next yet.
