On October 25, 2017, Suzuki will lift the veils off the all-new Jimny at the Tokyo Motor Show. An all-new design from the ground up, the newcomer soldiers on as a body-on-frame SUV that’s assuredly squared in appearance and high off the ground. Our friends at Indian Autos Blog had a go at rendering the 2018 Suzuki Jimny based on leaked pics and spy photos.

 Chunky plastic for wheel arches, round headlights integrated into a Jeep-like slotted grille, square-ish windows all around, it really does tick all the right boxes. Most impressively, however, is that Suzuki went forward with the classically correct 3-door design expected from a small off-road warrior.

An idea more comfortable on the inside, the 2018 Suzuki Jimny will be offered with a selection of three- and four-cylinder engine options. The Japanese automaker has plenty of mills available, both N/A and turbocharged, ranging from a 0.66-liter to the 1.4-liter turbo in the recently launched Swift Sport.
