
雪铁龙在今年4月宣布砍掉C5中级轿车,同时也废除了结构复杂的液压空气悬挂。第三代C5不会在近期推出,公司老板LindaJackson近日在法兰克福车展期间透露,全新C5将于2020年发布。当然,这里指的C5是欧规车型,并非在中国目前还在售的车型,中国版本C5在今年初进行了改款并在4月的上海车展亮相。雪铁龙之所以决定将新一代C5欧规车型发布时间推迟至2020年底是因为车厂目前正在开发更重要车型。雪铁龙决定将DS打造成一个独立的豪华品牌,不过,全新车系中出现了很大的空间需要填补。欧洲无需等到2020年才会看到C5,在2018年底,雪铁龙将推出C5 Aircross,这款SUV将于2019年在中国上市。该车将配备新开发的双阶悬挂,带有两个液压止动器,一个用于扩充,另一个用于压缩。LindaJackson表示,新悬挂将只提供给雪铁龙车型,这意味着欧宝车将不会配备此项先进技术。
Citroen Announces All-New C5 For 2020 Launch In Europe
Citroen axed the C5 midsize sedan earlier this year in April, thus also spelling the end of the complex hydropneumatic suspension. The third generation is not due in the near future as the company’s boss, Linda Jackson, has revealed during the Frankfurt Motor Show an all-new version is slated to come out in 2020.We are obviously talking about the Euro-spec version as the C5 continues to exist in China where it was facelifted at the beginning of the year and shown at Auto Shanghai in April.
The reason why a new C5 for Europe won’t arrive until the end of the decade has to do with the fact the PSA Group has bigger fish to fry right now. The decision to make DS a standalone luxury brand has created some gaps in the lineup, which are now being filled.
Europeans won’t have to wait until 2020 to get a C5-badged model as the C5 Aircross will land on the old continent towards the end of 2018, following the model’s launch next month in China. The SUV heralds a newly developed two-step suspension with two hydraulic stops, one for rebound and the other for compression. Interestingly, Linda Jackson said the new suspension will be installed exclusively in Citroen models, which means future Opel cars won’t be able to take advantage of the new tech.
