Mercedes-Benz 2016 Sales Beat Previous Year with One Month to Go

November 2016 was Mercedes-Benz's 45th consecutive record month, meaning that for almost four years, each month has been better than the same one the year before.

 

And with 182,602 units sold last month throughout the world, Mercedes-Benz sure isn't. This number represents a 12.7 percent increase over the same period in 2015, and also brings the total number of three-pointed star cars sold in 2016 to 1,893,619. That's more than the entire 12 months of last year, and was obtained thanks to double-digit growth numbers for every month of 2016.

 

In November, the Stuttgart manufacturer was the top premium brand regarding sales in important markets such as Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Taiwan, the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

 

The multiple SUV models (one-third of total November sales) and the recently introduced E-Class family continue to be strong sellers, but the C-Class continues to be the most popular. With over one million units sold since its launch in 2014, the C-Class is looking like a certain market success.
