Porsche Macan Turbo Performance Package adds 40 extra horsepower

Porsche is preparing to launch a new range-topping package for the Macan Turbo, retuning its engine and adding several mechanical upgrades.

 

The Performance Package recalibration allows the 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 to reach 440 horsepower, an increase of 40 ponies over the standard Turbo trim, while torque has jumped to 442 lb-ft from 406 lb-ft.

 

The extra power helps launch the crossover to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, shaving nearly a quarter second off the Turbo's benchmark. Top speed has also been elevated to 169 mph.

 

Complementing the performance improvements, a newly designed brake system boasts larger 390-millimeter grooved discs gripped by six-piston calipers. Porsche's active air suspension comes standard, providing on-the-fly adjustments and self-leveling capabilities.

 

Red brake calipers and a 10mm lower ride height help visually distinguish the Performance Package. Buyers are presented with a range of additional options including 21-inch 911 Turbo design wheels with gloss-black spokes, LED headlights and plenty of other blacked-out add-ons.

 

The Turbo Interior Package centers around black leather with Alcantara elements, with carbon components and an illuminated model logo.

 

The Performance Package is available to order now, with prices starting at $86,445 (excluding freight).
