Toyota C-HR interior revealed
Toyota has released the first interior images of the C-HR crossover.
Set to begin arriving at European dealerships early next year, the C-HR's interior has a new Sensual Tech design which combines "high-tech functionality with a sensual and fashionable style."
Toyota was coy on specifics but the cabin features a uniquely shaped dashboard, satin silver trim, and piano black accents. A closer inspection reveals an asymmetrical center console, heavily bolstered front seats, and a free-standing Touch 2 infotainment system with an eight-inch display.
The company also revealed the model has a driver-focused cockpit with switchgear that is slightly oriented towards the driver for easy access. Toyota went on to say the model will be offered with three different color schemes including Dark Grey, Black/Blue, and Black/Brown.
On the safety front, the C-HR comes equipped with an assortment of standard features including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic High Beam headlights, and Road Sign Assist. Owners can also rest assured as the crossover has Lane Departure Alert with steering control as well as a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
Higher end variants can be equipped with an assortment of options including partial leather seats, heated front seats, and rear privacy glass. Another tempting option is a specially designed JBL audio system with nine different speakers.
As we have previously reported, the European model will be offered with a turbocharged 1.2-liter engine which produces 114 horsepower and 136 pound-feet of torque. It can be connected to either a six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable transmission. Models equipped with the latter gearbox can be ordered with an optional all-wheel drive system.
Buyers looking for something more eco-friendly can purchase a hybrid variant which has a combined maximum output of 120 hp. Despite being more powerful than the standard model, the hybrid has a combined fuel consumption rating of 76.3 miles per gallon (UK) and CO2 emissions of 85 grams per kilometer.
