Subaru Levorg STI Sport has honed handling, no extra power

We had hope that the Subaru Levorg STI Sport could be a fire-breathing, 328-horsepower wagon with a full arsenal of high-performance updates. The real thing is still cool, but it has the same engine options as the standard model.

 

The major performance updates should sharpen the wagon’s handling, including Bilstein's DampMatic II shocks at the front, updated springs, and retuned steering. Customers can choose between the brand’s 1.6-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder with 168 horsepower or the 2.0-liter turbo, boxer four with 296 hp. Both use a CVT gearbox and route power to the front and rear axles.

 

The Levorg STI Sport wears a new body kit that includes a more aggressive front bumper, tweaked grille, and 18-inch wheels. The changes give the model a much meaner look. Customers can also order this version of the Levorg in Subaru’s iconic WR Blue Pearl in addition to the wagon’s regular color palette. Inside, buyers can get a Bordeaux red leather interior with black trim. STI logos adorn the headrests, steering wheel, and side sill plates.
