雷克萨斯曾在去年的东京车展发布了LF-FC概念车，现在坊间传闻，车厂将在明年北美车展发布其量产版车型，该车将成为下一代LS旗舰级车型，随后将于5月上市。有报道称，该车外观设计仍将忠实于LF-FC概念车，但部分受到LC轿跑车影响。至于内装，雷克萨斯国际执行副总裁Mark Templin年初表示，新一代LS“将采用更酷的内装”。虽然他未透露任何细节，但车厂暗示内装将注重提升技术含量和工艺水平。Templin还表示，车厢内将配备一些此前从未有过的配置。新一代LS将成为继LC之后第二款采用雷克萨斯新的全球后驱平台的车型，而更高端版本可选装全驱系统。车厂还将计划推出长轴距版本以便能与德系车竞争。动力系统则包括那台熟悉的5.0升V8和新的，取自LC500h的3.5升V6混动系统。

 

2018 Lexus LS to be unveiled early next year?

Lexus revealed the LF-FC concept (pictured here) at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show and now word on the street says Toyota’s premium marque is gearing up to introduce a production version at NAIAS next year. It will take the shape of the next-gen LS flagship model and apparently is slated to go on sale as early as May 2017. Reports indicate the design will remain faithful to the LF-FC concept, but at the same time it will also be partially influenced by the sleek LC coupe.

 

As far as the interior cabin is concerned, earlier this year we heard Lexus International Executive Vice President Mark Templin saying the new LS is going to feature “some cool interior stuff.” While that doesn’t actually say anything, Lexus did hint focus will be on improving technology and craftsmanship. Templin also mentioned they will be doing “some things” that have never been done before to an interior.

 

The all-new fullsize sedan is expected to become the second model after the LC to use Lexus’ new global rear-wheel-drive architecture, with optional AWD available on the pricier versions. A long-wheelbase LS is likely on the agenda as well to better compete with the Germans while for power it will use the familiar 5.0-liter V8 and the new hybridized 3.5-liter V6 seen in the LC 500h.
